Meet your Creative Facilitator,

Aitina Fareed-Cooke

For 2 decades, Aitina has dedicated her efforts towards designing and implementing a variety of project based educational programs, presentations and performances, apprenticeships, practical income-generating opportunities and career development experiences within the creative arts sector to a collection of emerging artists, aspiring young creatives, entrepreneurs and more.

Aitina has served as an Adjunct Professor at Buffalo State University, Community Schools Navigator with Say Yes to Education, Artworks Director and Teaching Artist at Young Audiences of Western New York, and Youth Services Site Coordinator at N.U.R.T.U.R.E. Academy. She has designed curriculums to boost program retention, youth & parent participation, community engagement, formed partnerships with organizations, and secured grant funds for program sustainability.

Creative Arts Workshops

Through the Lens

Photography / Creative Writing / Poetry

Through the hands-on use of digital cameras, iPads, lighting equipment and other digital media arts tools, students learn the basics of photography while applying the use of literary elements to create narratives based on their images. Cumulative project leads to booklet and/or showcase. Program includes a short visual of student creative writing work captured by the Get Fokus’d Productions team of ‘Kreative’ Partners.

Total Sessions: 7 (1 hour sessions)

Capacity: 15 max

Ages: Middle School, High School, Adults

Final Project Includes: 1 Photographic Booklet per student and 2 for the School/Organization + Visual highlight of project from Get Fokus’d Productions team

Tech Needs: Access to Wifi, Projector & Screen

Investment: $3500 (7 sessions, 1 booklet per student & organization + 1 showcase) includes all digital media related equipment & materials


The Art of Lyricism

Creative Writing / Song Writing / Lyricism

This workshop is designed to unlock your lyrical potential. This workshop is perfect for emerging songwriters, poets, and storytellers who want to dive into the art of writing captivating, evocative lyrics that resonate with listeners.

Through a combination of theoretical insight, practical exercises, and interactive discussions, attendees learn the fundamentals of lyric writing, from crafting beautiful imagery and narratives to developing rhythm and rhyme.

Total Sessions: 1 (Up to 2 hour session)

Capacity: 15 max

Ages: Middle School, High School, Adults

Tech Needs: Access to Wifi, Projector & Screen

Investment: $500 (includes all necessary equipment & materials)

Smartphone Photography for The Creative Soul

Digital Photography

For those who don’t have a budget for a fancy camera, guess what…? One of the most powerful capturing tools could be right in your purse or your back pocket!  Through a variety of hands-on activities, explore how to creatively capture, enhance and share images and become a better smartphone photographer!

*Please note that this class is intended for iPhone users but all phones are welcome!
